A contemporary farmstead positioned within the rolling orchard landscape of Fairview Estate, the Barns House is conceived as a collection of simple agricultural-inspired volumes arranged around sheltered outdoor courts and working landscapes.

The project balances refined contemporary living with a restrained rural language — combining brick, stone, timber, steel roofing, and indigenous planting to create a homestead that sits quietly within its surroundings. Long gabled forms, covered verandahs, and outdoor gathering spaces reinforce an outdoor-first way of living, while integrated sustainability systems, including solar and water harvesting, support a self-sufficient estate lifestyle.
